Dr. Martina S. Moore is a business owner, counselor, international speaker, trainer, and professor, to name a few. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Moore established Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc. (MCMS), an outpatient co-occurring diagnosis center with several Northeast Ohio locations providing counseling and training services. Her extensive experience and leadership roles in counseling and behavioral health instill confidence in her expertise.
Dr. Moore is the Department Chair of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at John Carroll University. In her role at John Carroll University, Dr. Moore developed the Substance Use Disorder Concentration in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She is also an instructor at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and an adjunct professor at Fulbright University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Dr. Moore has also traveled to several countries, teaching best practices in treating behavioral health disorders.
Dr. Martina Moore is the current International Association of Marriage and Family President. Counselors (IAMFC), and the Past Ethics Chair Liaison for the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA). Dr. Moore is also the past president of the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA), the past president and founder of the Ohio Substance Use Disorders Professionals (OSUDP), and the past President of the Association of Humanistic Counselors (AHC). In addition, she has been an active member of the American Counseling Association for over 20 years.
Over the past two years, Dr. Moore has chaired the inaugural International Marriage and Family Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which has drawn more than 300 international attendees.
Dr. Moore's overarching goal is to serve others by promoting greater awareness, advocacy, and understanding of behavioral health disorders that impact individuals and families. Her commitment to this cause is unwavering, ensuring that her audience is always informed and enlightened.
