Gina McDowell, LPCC-S, is a licensed professional clinical counselor and organizational leader with a passion for helping people better understand themselves and create meaningful, sustainable change. She serves as Director of Organizational Excellence and Community Impact with Focused Mind ADHD Counseling and is also an adjunct faculty member in the Counselor Education program at Capital University. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Gina specializes in ADHD, executive functioning, career counseling, and working with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life they have worked hard to build. Her clinical approach is practical, strengths-based, and grounded in helping clients move beyond insight alone to develop strategies they can use in everyday life. In addition to her clinical work, Gina provides professional education and training for mental health clinicians, with a particular focus on ADHD case conceptualization and intervention. She has also worked in the wellness field for nearly two decades, an experience that continues to influence her interest in the connection between mental health, self-awareness, stress, and overall well-being.
Across her work as a therapist, supervisor, educator, and leader, Gina is especially drawn to helping people identify what is no longer working, reconnect with what matters to them, and figure out what comes next.
